In its latest strategic move, Airbnb is strengthening its bond with PayPal, which has been instrumental in its payment processing mechanism. This partnership has given birth to a unique website feature that promises to make travel rendezvous more convenient.

The MeetHalfway initiative on the website assists users in determining a convenient midpoint location between them and their friends or business associates. Once the midpoint is determined, the platform then recommends a location, along with a direct link to available Airbnb accommodations in the vicinity.

As part of this collaboration’s promotional campaign, PayPal reached out to its US customers a few days ago, offering a tempting discount. 

  • Customers are entitled to a $50 discount for Airbnb bookings exceeding $200, with the sole condition being the complete transaction through PayPal;
  • Those interested can take advantage of this offer by using the MEETHALFWAY promo code during the Airbnb payment checkout;
  • However, the offer stands valid only for US citizens and is set to expire at the end of 2015.
